Abstract

Kata kunci: Kadar SGPT, Perokok aktif Cigarette smoke is a free radical, which can damage molecules whose electrons are attracted by these free radicals, causing cells damage. One of them is hepatocyte cells. Serum Glutamic Pirivate Transaminase (SGPT) is an enzyme that will go out into the extracellular space there is damage of liver cells, so that the levels will increase in blood serum. The present study was adescriptive study, which aims to describe the levels of SGPT in active smoker serum, located at Banjar Taman, Tegal Darmasaba Traditional Village, Abiansemal, Badung. This study was conducted since March until June 2018. The population were active smoker males aged 18 years and over counted 84 people. From the population were taken as many 30 people to be sampled, using the Slovin formula. Sampling was done by Incidental sampling technique. Analyzing SGPT levels using the IFCC method. From the result of the research, there were 28 (93,3%) respondents have normal SGPT level with light and moderate smoker category, 2 (6,7%) have high SGPT level with heavy smoking category. Based on the results it can be concluded that the description of SGPT levels in active smokers in Banjar Taman which include mild and moderate smoker category in normal range, while the heavy smoker had high levels of SGPT. To all respondents expected to stop smoking. Keywords: SGPT Level, Active Smoker
