Abstract
The use of natural larvicides has several advantages, including rapid degradation by sunlight, air, humidity and other natural components. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the concentration of green betel leaf decoction (Piper betle L.) is effectivie against the death of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae in 2021. The method in this study is a pure experimental research (True Experiment) with a Post Test Only Control Group Design research design and analyzed descriptively and analytically. The results of this study indicate the average mortality rate of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae in a concentration of 7%, namely 3.8 with a percentage of 19%. At a concentration of 8%, it is 8.6 individuals with a percentage of 43%. At a concentration of 9%, it is 18.4 individuals with a percentage of 92%. And, the concentration of 10% is 20 individuals with a percentage of 100%. In the normality test, data were normally distributed followed by the One Way ANOVA test, the significant value that obtained was 0,000 for 3 hours treatment and the significant 0.000 for 24 hours treatment which means the significant value. <0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so that there is a difference in the number of Aedes aegypti larvae deaths between the test groups. Furthermore, for the Bonfferoni test, it was found that the 10% concentration had a positive value on the reduction in the average mortality of larvae. The concentration of green betel leaf decoction (Piper betle Lin) that meets the LD50 requirements is a concentration of 9% with a percentage of 92% mortality and a concentration of 10% with a percentage of 100% mortality.
