Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF OXYGEN SATURATION IN CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE PATIENTS AT ICCU RSUD WANGAYA IN 2021 ABSTRACT Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a heart function disorder that is unable to meet the body's metabolic needs. One of the clinical symptoms is shortness of breath which is a lack of oxygen entering the lungs. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of oxygen saturation in congestive heart failure patients at ICCU Wangaya Hospital in 2021. This study was a quantitative descriptive study with an observational design and used a retrospective approach, in which the researcher only observed medical records regarding oxygen saturation in patients with congestive heart failure. at the time of admission to the hospital, after 15 minutes received treatment and hospitalization on the second day. This research was conducted on 26-30 April 2021 in the medical record room of Wangaya Hospital with a total sample of 33 samples, using consecutive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of congestive heart failure respondents, aged <45 years who have experienced heart failure as many as 3 people (9.1%) with the most sex is male as many as 18 people (54.5%). 100% of respondents experienced hypoxia when they were admitted to the hospital, after 15 minutes of treatment as many as 10 people (30.3%) were normal, when treated on day 2 there were 26 people (78.8%) who were normal. Based on the results, hoped that nurses will continue to monitor oxygen saturation in patients with congestive heart failure and provide oxygen therapy and changes in position to patients on an ongoing basis.
