Abstract
THE EFFECT OF VIDEO LEARNING MEDIA TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF HAND-WASHING KNOWLEGDE FOR COVID-19 PREVENTION ON CHILDREN AT SDN 1 SUBAGAN PUSKESMAS KARANGASEM 1 IN 2021 ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic is an epidemic that has had a negative impact on all groups, including students. A good level of knowledge can be an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. This study provides health education through video learning media related how to hand washing. This study aims to determine the effect of video learning media on increasing knowledge of hand washing in the prevention of COVID-19 in children at SDN 1 Subagan Puskesmas Karangasem 1 in 2021. This type of research is pre-experimental with one group pre post test design. The number of samples was 53 people using non probability sampling, namely total sampling. The data was collected using a handwashing knowledge questionnaire. The results showed that the respondent’s knowledge before being given the video learning media treatment with the results of 34 people (64.2%) in good category, and 19 people (35.8%) in sufficient category. After being given the intervention, it showed that there was an increase in the respondent’s knowledge with the results in good category 46 people (86.8%), and enough category 7 people (13.2%). Obtained -value = 0,000 < alpha (0.05), it is concluded that there is an effect of video learning media on increasing knowledge of hand washing in the prevention of COVID-19 in children at SDN 1 Subagan Puskesmas Karangasem 1 in 2021. It Hoped that respondents will be able to disseminate the information that has been obtained regarding washing hands. Keywords: Video media ; level of knowledge ; COVID-19
