Abstract
Appendicitis is the most common disease in Indonesia. Treatment efforts are by surgery or appendictomy, but anxiety often arises in the patient before surgery is carried out. The purpose of this scientific work is to determine the Anxiety Nursing Care of Preoperative Appendictomy Patients in the Operating Room Installation of RSD Mangusada. The results in the study of the two managed cases, the patient said he was anxious, worried, had trouble sleeping and was afraid of the action to be taken. The nursing diagnosis raised is anxiety related to situational crisis, which is proven by the patient saying he is worried, afraid and anxious about the action to be taken. The intervention carried out was anxiety reduction, one of which was music therapy relaxation techniques, the implementation was carried out for 30 minutes and was evaluated for decreased anxiety. The conclusion is that music therapy can reduce the anxiety of preoperative appendectomy patients. The author hopes that this scientific work can be used by the community and used as a guide for future research. Keywords: Appendicitis, anxiety, therapy music
