Abstract

THE EFECTIVENESS OF HEALTH EDUCATION FOR PREVENTIVE BEHAVIOR COVID-19 WITH LEAFLET MEDIA AND AUDIO VISUAL MEDIA AT THE TERUNA TERUNI ORGANIZATION IN JIMBARAN VILLAGE ABSTRACK The number of COVID-19 incidents in Jimbaran Village is 348 positive cases with 4 deaths. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of COVID-19 prevention behavior health education with leaflet media and audiovisual media at the Teruna Teruni Organization in Jimbaran Village. This study used quasi experimental method with two group pretest and posttest design against 86 respondents selected in stratified random sampling. The results showed behavior before being given health education leaflet media, knowledge (good) as many as 22 respondents (51.5%), attitude (good) as many as 29 respondents (67,4%), action (enough) as many as 24 respondents (55.8%). Behavior after being given health education leaflet media, knowledge (good) as many as 42 respondents (97.7%), attitude (good) as many as 36 respondents (83.7%), actions (enough) as many as 23 respondents (53.5%). While the results before being given health education audiovisual media, knowledge (good) as many as 33 respondents (76.7%), attitude (good) as many as 30 respondents (69.8%), action (good) as many as 21 respondents (48.8%). Behavior after being given health education audiovisual media, knowledge (good) as many as 42 respondents (97.7%), attitude (good) as many as 41 respondents (95.3%), action (good) as many as 32 respondents (74.4%). Based on the statistical test Mann-Whitney obtained scores p-value of knowledge = 0,017, p-value of attitude = 0,006, and p-value of action = 0,001 (<0.05). This shows that there is a difference between the provision of health education using leaflet media and audiovisual media. Based on the N-Gain Score test, the mean of health education with leaflets media was 34,8% = ineffective, while the mean value of health education with audiovisual media was 51,2% = quite effective. In this study health education with audiovisual media is more effective compared to leaflet media. Advice for respondents use audiovisual media to do health education, and for subsequent researchers to conduct similar research with different subjects and media.
