Abstract
DESCRIPTION NURSING CARE NAUSEA OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENTS CONDUCTING HEMODIALYSIS WITH PEPPERMINT INHALATION THERAPY IN HEMODIALYSIS ROOM SANJIWANI GIANYAR HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The incidence of kidney failure is a major health problem in the world. One of the treatment options for Chronic Kidney Disease is hemodialysis. Nausea is one of the complications of hemodialysis patients. Alternative therapy to treat nausea due to hemodialysis is peppermint aromatherapy. The purpose of this scientific paper is to determine of nausea nursing care in patients with CKD undergoing hemodialysis by peppermint inhalation therapy in the Hemodialysis room of Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital. Desain of the research is observation of case study results in two patients undergoing hemodialysis. The results of the observation were obtained from the assessment data, main complaint obtained in both patients was nausea during intradialysis. The nursing diagnosis nausea was associated with pharmacological effects. Nursing plans in both patients with the main intervention being nausea management. The implementation of the two patients was the same in the form of observational, therapeutic, educational and non-pharmacological additional measures of peppermint inhalation therapy. The results of the evaluation of peppermint inhalation therapy in both patients showed decreased nausea, initially the patient complained of nausea with frequency of nausea 4 times reduce to 1 time. The conclusion is peppermint inhalation therapy were able to reduce complaints of nausea in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. Keywords: Nausea, Chornic Kidney Disease, Peppermint
