Abstract
Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 with primary transmission through droplets and aerosols. The implementation of 3M health protocols (using masks, washing hands with soap and keeping a distance) is an important key in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. Compliance in implementing health protocols is influenced by several factors, one of which is socioeconomic factors, namely employment status. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between employment status and community compliance level in implementing 3M health protocols outside the home in the new normal era. The type of research used is observational correlation analytics with cross-sectional approaches. Sampling using purposive sampling technique so that 152 respondents were obtained. The data collection instrument uses a respondent characteristic questionnaire and a 3M health protocol compliance level questionnaire consisting of 15 closed questions using a likert scale. The majority of results were obtained by a majority (86.8%) respondents have an appropriate level of compliance and the rest (13.2%) disobedient. The results of bivariate analysis using chi square test obtained p-value 0.791. Because p > α (0.05), H0 failed to be rejected. That is, there is no significant relationship between employment status and compliance level in implementing 3M health protocols outside the home in the New Normal Era in Baler Bale Agung Village, Negara District, Jembrana Regency in 2021.
