Abstract

THE RELATION BETWEEN HEALTH BEHAVIOR AND AND THE NUMBER OF DENGUE FEVER INFECTED CHILDREN IN SD N 6 BANYUNING, BULELENG REGENCY, IN 2021 ABSTRACT SD Negeri 6 Banyuning is one of an elementary school in Buleleng Regency whose health behavior needs attention. The results of the initial interviews showed the students rarely cleaned and sprinkled abate powder in water reservoirs and there were several students who infected dengue at school. This research is a quantitative study, the design of this study used analytical research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were elementary school students from fourth to sixth-grade in SD Negeri 6 Banyuning, the total is 74 students. The sampling method used probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The number of samples was 62 people. Hypothesis testing used the Spearman rank correlation statistical test (α = 0.05). The research instrument used a health behavior questionnaire and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) symptom questionnaire. The results showed the value of r -0.515 and p value of 0.000 (α = 0.05), which means that there is a moderate, negative, and significant relationship between health behavior and the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever of children at SD Negeri 6 Banyuning, Buleleng Regency in 2021. It is hoped that teachers, students and education staff at SD Negeri 6 Banyuning play an active role in the eradication of dengue by eradicating the Aedes aegypti mosquito nest by conducting 3M.
