Abstract
Tsunami disaster is a series of giant ocean waves that arise due a shift in the seabed due an earthquake. The factor of the large number of victims due the tsunami disasters is due to the lack if knowledge and attitudes of youth organizations about disasters and awareness in anticipating and disasters. One of the efforts to prepare youth groups in facing a tsunami disaster is by providing health education. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of health education through Whats app groups on the knowledge and attitudes of youth organizations in dealing with tsunami disasters on coast of Tanah Lot in 2021. The research design used pre- experimental with (one group pre post test design). The sample in this study amountedto 39 people using the sample random sampling technique. The average value of knowledge and attitudes of youth groups in dealing with the tsunami disaster before being given treatment was 46.00 with a minimum value of 19 and a maximum value of 81, a median of 42.80 and a standard value of diviation 16,481. The average value of the level of knowledge and attitudes in dealing with the tsunami disaster after being given treatment is 81.87, with a minimum value of 52 and a maximum value of 100, the median 83.86 and the standard value of diviation 14,176. The result of the paired sample test in this study indicate that the Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between health education trough Whats App group on the knowledge and attitudes of youth organization in the coast of Tanah Lot.
