Abstract

RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF FEMAL AGE COUPLES TOWARDS BEHAVIOR OF INSPECTION VISUAL ACETIC ACID (IVA) IN PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER NUSA PENIDA III ABSTRACT Cervical cancer is a disease that affects many women. Knowledge of early detection of cervical cancer is an important factor in determining the behavior of IVA examinations. If someone has high knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer, the desire to do a checkup will be better. Efforts to prevent delays in handling cervical cancer is by early detection of cervical cancer with IVA examinations. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers of reproductive age couples on the behavior of visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) inspection at the Nusa Penida III Health Center. This type of correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The sample collection technique was purposive sampling, totaling 289 mothers of reproductive age couples (30-50 years) at the Nusa Penida III Health Center. Data collection using a knowledge and behavior questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using Rank Spearman with a significance level of p <0.05. The results showed that there was a relationship between the knowledge level of mothers of reproductive age couples on the behavior of the visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) (p = 0.006). This intervention is recommended for health workers at the Nusa Penida III Community Health Center to further increase outreach activities and provide education about IVA examinations using posters and electronic media.
