Abstract
Femur fracture is a damage to the continuity of the femur that can occur in the collum or neck, trochanter, femur stem or femur caput caused by direct or indirect trauma, muscle weakness. One manifestation of femur fracture is the onset of acute pain. One of the pure nursing measures given to reduce acute pain is the administration of cold compresses that aim to lower body temperature, prevent widespread inflammation, reduce congestion, reduce local bleeding, reduce pain in a local area. Cold compress action is carried out at a cold temperature of 100 C, a duration of 15-30 minutes when the patient feels pain, administered to the painful area. Nursing Care aims to know the general description of Acute Pain Nursing Care In Mr. GS With Fracture Femur Sinistra Post Surgery In Hospital Room Angsoka Surgery 1 RSUP Sanglah Denpasar. The results found that cold compresses were able to lower the acute pain scale of patients, after three days from a pain scale of 5 to a pain scale of 1. In conclusion after the treatment of acute pain nursing with the administration of cold compresses in accordance with the theory and research that has been obtained acute pain postoperative experienced by patients decreased so that the nursing action of cold compressing on acute pain post surgery is effective to be done by nurses as a pure act of nursing. It is recommended to nurses to apply cold compress therapy interventions as nurse self-interventions to reduce pain in postoperative fracture patients Keywords : fracture, acute pain, post surgery, cold compress
