Abstract
Long term hyperglycemia can lead to neuropathy and if not treated quickly it can lead to complications, namely diabetic foot. Management of diabetic foot requires surgery in the form of debridement or amputation, complications that can arise from debridement are hypothermia. The purpose of this scientific paper is to describe and analyze hypothermia nursing care in patients with postoperative debridement and amputation with diabetic foot diabetes mellitus including nursing assessment to nursing evaluation by providing warm blanket innovation intervention in the OK recovery room of Sanjiwani Hospital in 2021. This study used a descriptive method with case study data collection techniques conducted on 12 to 30 April 2021. The results of this study found: the nursing assessment of two patient had similarities, namely the patient complained of chills, chills, body temperature below normal values and palpable skin. cold. The formulated nursing diagnosis is hypothermia associated with exposure to low ambient temperatures. Planning refers to the SDKI, SIKI and SLKI. The nursing intervention chosen was hypothermic management with improved thermoregulation criteria. Nursing implementation was generally documented and only four interventions were used from planning. Nursing evaluation used in documenting is SOAP by evaluating the increase in body temperature normothermia. Key words: hypothermia, nursing care, postoperative debridement
