Abstract

Head injury is a traumatic disorder of brain function with or without interstitial bleeding in the brain substance without being followed by a break in the continuity of the brain. The purpose of writing this KIAN is to find out nursing care for the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion in patients with severe head injuries at the Sanjiwani Hospital Gianyar Emergency Installation in 2021. At the assessment stage, data obtained from 2 cases managed with the same cause of severe head injury, namely the patient had decreased consciousness, increased vital signs, semicoma consciousness, GCS value: E1V1M4, the patient looked restless. Based on the study, the nursing diagnosis raised was the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion by giving 1x2 hour intervention. The intervention given was in accordance with SIKI, namely the management of increased intracranial pressure by giving the head up position 300.. Giving the head up position is positioning the head about 300. higher than the bed with the body in a parallel position and the legs straight or not bent. The results of the evaluation showed that giving the head up position in head injury patients can reduce intracranial pressure in head injury patients. In addition, this position can also increase oxygen to the brain. Giving the head up position 300. needs to be applied to minimize the risk of the patient experiencing increased intracranial pressure. Keywords: Severe head injury, Cerebral perfusion
