Abstract
A DESCRIPTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF POST SECTIO CAESARIA MOTHERS ABOUT NEONATAL JAUNDICE IN PRIMA MEDIKA GENERAL HOSPITAL, DENPASAR ABSTRACT Newborns aged 0-28 days are also called Neonates. The neonatal period is a period that is prone to various diseases and poor handling of healthy neonates will cause abnormalities such as jaundice, bleeding,infection and can even cause death (Manuaba, 2012). Neonatorum jaundice is a common condition in neonates that refers to skin color on the skin and sclera caused by too much bilirubin in the blood (Mendri, 2017). The aim of the researchers in this study was to identify a description of the knowledge of post Sectio Caesaria mothers about neonatal jaundice based on the characteristics of the Prima Medika General Hospital Denpasar. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach.The sampling method used was the Non Probability Sampling Technique with Purposive Sampling,with the sample obtained as many as 96 respondents. The data were obtained by filling out a questionnaire to determine the knowledge of post Sectio Caesaria mothers about neonatal jaundice with 15 questions. The results of the research obtained from 96 respondents showed that respondents who had good knowledge were 41 respondents (42,7%) , who had sufficient knowledge as many as 36 respondents (37,5%) and those who had less knowledge were 19 respondents (19.8%). So it is hoped that the next research that has been done with the title “ Overview of Post Sectio Caesaria Mother’s Knowledge About Neonatorum Jaundice at Prima Medika General Hospital Denpasar “.
