Abstract
Dental and oral health are part of overall health, therefore the maintenance of good and correct dental and oral health greatly supports the realization of oral health, including the health of pregnant women in general. This study aims to determine the description of knowledge about the maintenance of dental and oral health in pregnant women in the KKN IPE Buleleng I area in 2021. This study is a descriptive study and was analyzed by univariate statistics based on primary data. Respondents of this study were all pregnant women who were used as fostered families during the IPE KKN in Buleleng I Regency, totaling 35 people. The results of research conducted on 35 respondents showed that the knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance in pregnant women in the IPE Buleleng I KKN area in 2021 was 30 people (85.7%) in the good category and 5 people (14.3%) with the category enough. The average level of knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance in pregnant women in the IPE Buleleng I KKN area in 2021 is 85.4 with a good category. The conclusion of this research is that most of the pregnant women in the area of KKN IPE Buleleng I in 2021 have good knowledge about the maintenance of dental health.
