Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP BEETWEN KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AVAILABILITY OF TRASH CAN THE PARTICIPATIONS TRADERS IN WASTE MANAGEMENT THE RAYA SESETAN MARKET IN 2021 ABSTRACT Market Sanitation is control efforts through monitoring activities on the effects of the market which are closely related to the spread of a disease. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and availability of trash cans with the participation of traders in waste management in the Raya Sesetan market in 2021. This type of research uses cross sectional analytic research method. The sampling technique uses a total sample. The number of respondents in this study were 35 traders. Traders with poor knowledge in waste management were 23 (65.7%), negative attitudes of traders were 20 (57.1%), availability of bad trash bins was 22 (62, 9%), poor merchant participation was 19 (54.3%). Chi square test results obtained knowledge with p value 0,030 <(α) 0,05, attitude with p value 0,001 <(α) 0,05, availability of trash cans with p value 0,006 <(α) 0,05. The advice given is that traders are expected to provide trash bins so that trash does not scatter around the stalls and booths. Keywords: Knowledge, Attitudes, Market waste management
