Abstract
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. DHF is still a problem in Indonesia because the morbidity rate has not yet reached the government's target of less than 49 per 100,000 population. Hemoglobin examination is one of the important laboratory tests to help diagnose DHF, especially if there has been a plasma leak that can cause shock. The purpose of this study was to determine hemoglobin levels in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients at Kertayasa State Hospital. This type of research is descriptive. Samples were taken from the medical records of dengue patients who were hospitalized at Kertayasa State Hospital from January-April 2020. The results showed from 33 respondents, 18.2% had hb levels above normal, 75.7% had normal hb levels, and 6.0% had hb levels below normal. Based on the gender of male DHF respondents more, namely 63.6% and 36.4% female respondents.
