Abstract
Congestive heart failure or CHF is a clinical response to ventricular failure characterized by pulmonary congestion or systemic venous congestion. CHF results in pulmonary function failure resulting in fluid infiltration into the alveoli. (Muttaqin, 2014). The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to describe the nursing care of patients with congestive heart failure with gas exchange disorders. The method used in the preparation of this paper is a descriptive method with a case study approach on two patients with congestive heart failure in Room Oleg Mangusada Badung Hospital. Based on case studies conducted on Ny patients. D and Ny. R found gas exchange disruption problem. The implementation are observing vital signs, awareness levels, cyanotic signs arranging the position of semifowler patients, monitoring signs and symptoms of hypoxia, monitoring vital signs, providing education about the use of tools and diseases, delegative administration of oxygen and drugs. After 3 days of action, the problem is not resolved, the intervention continues. Key words : Congestive heart failure, impaired gas exchange
