Abstract
Abstract. Breastfeeding has a good benefit for infant because it contains nutrient. Preliminary studies conducted in Tabanan Health Center III on 10 pregnant woman, it turn out that the pregnant women were never given information about exclusive breastfeeding. This research aims into determine the effectiveness of media education leaflets on mother’s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Research was conducted at Puskesmas Tabanan III by number sample were 56 respondence. This research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The average scores about mother’s knowledge before esponiage was 41,86, after given esponiage scores about increase become 77,07. The results of t-test with significant level of 95% and value of p is 0,00 was obtained the value of t are 28,75. So leaflet is more effective to incrase mother’s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding. Based on that, the authers suggest in Puskesmas Tabanan III to provide esponiage on exclusive breastfeeding. Based on that, the auters suggest in Puskesmas Tabanan III to provide esponiage on exclusive breastfeeding using leaflet. The researchers recommended the following research to develop this research with different variables and different communication media in order to provide new innovations the field of health promotion.
