Abstract

Abstract. Early initiation of breastfeeding is the effort of learning to breastfeed the baby for the first time with the action put the baby in the mother’s abdomen or chest and fail to prevent skin contact within the baby’s and mother’s skin. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of husband support the implementation of the early initiation, of breastfeeding. This research is a quasi experimental with posttest control group design. The population is all the husband and pregnant woman in health center Dauh Puri and GA. Widiasih clinical pratice. Techniques Consecutive sampling was used. The results showed statistically significant that there is a relationship between with the husband’s support and early breastfeeding initiation. Which support poor husband has a risk of failure Early initiation of breastfeeding 7 times larger then the support of a wonderful husband (OR=7,95%,CI : 3.11 to 15.76). So it is advisable to health workers should be counseling husbands pregnant woman to their to be continue developed so that the husband is ready to wife by informational, awards, instrumental, and emotional.
