Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of heterogeneous abnormalities characterized by elevated glucose levels in the blood or hyperglycemia. Diabetes Mellitus type II occurs due to decreased sensitivity to insulin (insulin resistance) or occurs due to a decrease in the amount of insulin production produced by the pancreas (Smeltzer Suzanne C. RN, EdD & Bare Brenda G, RN, 2001). This research is conducted to know the description of nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus type II + diabetic foot with the problem of nursing risk infection. Based on a preliminary case study found in the field of data UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar that the disease Diabetes Mellitus type II is also included in the top ten most diseases in 2017 and is also included in the six major of the ten diseases with a number of cases 1016 cases and more found in men with a number of cases 554 in this case study using 2 respondents with the age of 67 and 65 , as well as with the same medical diagnosis. These two respondents will be observed through documentation studies by observing the patient's nursing documentation. The results of this case study are expected to serve as a reference in monitoring the implementation of nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus type II + diabetic foot with infection risk. Diabetes mellitus merupakan sekelompok kelainan heterogen yang ditandai dengan adanya kenaikan kadar glukosa dalam darah atau hiperglikemia. Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II terjadi akibat adanya penurunan sensitivitas terhadap insulin (resistensi insulin) atau terjadi akibat penurunan jumlah produksi insulin yang dihasilkan oleh pankreas (Smeltzer Suzanne C. RN, EdD & Bare Brenda G, RN, 2001). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II + diabetic foot dengan masalah keperawatan risiko infeksi.Berdasarkan studi kasus pendahuluan yang ditemukan di lapangan dari data UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar bahwa penyakit Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II juga termasuk dalam sepuluh besar penyakit terbanyak pada tahun 2017 dan juga termasuk dalam enam besar dari sepuluh penyakit dengan jumlah kasus 1016 kasus dan lebih banyak terdapat pada penderita laki – laki dengan jumlah kasus 554 Pada studi kasus ini menggunakan 2 responden dengan usia 67 dan 65 tahun, serta dengan diagnosa medis yang sama. Kedua responden ini akan diamati melalui studi dokumentasi dengan melakukan observasi melalui dokumentasi keperawatan pasien. Hasil studi kasus ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi dalam melakukan monitoring pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II + diabetic foot dengan risiko infeksi.
