Abstract
Oral hygiene is a condition that indicates that inside the mouth of a person is free of impurities such as debris, plaque and calculus. Dental caries is a dental tissue disease characterized by tissue damage starting from the tooth surface extends towards the pulp. The purpose of this study to determine the level of oral hygiene and dental caries in pregnant women who visited puskesmas Kediri I in 2018. Benefit of this research to be used as input for related intasi in effort of oral and dental health. Research that is done is descriptive research research with survey design. The result of of research conducted on 30 pregant women about the level of oral hyegiene obtained the highest number of moderate criteria (70%), the number of pregnant women affected by caries as many as 26 people. Average dental caries 1,76. The conclusion of this study is the lever of oral and mouth hygiene pregnant women have OHI-S criteria (70%) and the average of dental caries in pregnant women in puskesmas Kediri I is 1,76. The highest percentage of tooth and mouth hygiene in moderate category, percentage of tooth and mouth hygiene level based on most trimester of pregnancy in trimester III with medium criterion, average of tooth and mouth hygiene level of pregnant mother at most in trimester I with average OHI-S with medium criteria (86,7%), pregnant women with caries, the lowest average number of pregnant women, the highest number of pregnant women affected by dental caries at moderate dental and oral hygiene criteria.
