Abstract

ABSTRACT Asphyxia is one of the factors causing neonatal death. Asphyxia is related to the condition of the mother during pregnancy. Preeclampsia during pregnancy is one of the causes of neonatal asphyxia. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the relationship of preeclampsia in pregnant women with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia. Article search uses four electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, NCBI and Proquest. Articles sought from 2010-2020. The keywords used are Indonesian and English, namely: preeklamsia / preeclampsia, asfiksia / asphyxia, nilai Apgar / Apgar score, and luaran bayi / newborn outcome. 52 articles were obtained using these keywords, but only 16 articles were eligible. Mothers with preeclampsia tend to give birth to asphyxia babies. The presence of vasoconstriction of blood vessels and hemoconcentration due to decreased plasma volume during preeclampsia causes impaired perfusion of the fetoplasenta. As a result, the fetus conceived suffered hypoxia and impaired nutritional fulfillment. The consequence of hypoxia in the fetus is asphyxia. Meanwhile, disruption of fetal nutrition due to preeclampsia causes the fetus to experience Intra-Uterine Growht Restriction (IUGR), Low Birth Weight (LBW), and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) which can also cause asphyxia. There is a relationship between preeclampsia and the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum. Keywords: preeclampsia, asphyxia, Apgar score, newborn outcome ABSTRAK Asfiksia merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab kematian neonatus. Asfiksia berkaitan dengan kondisi ibu saat hamil. Preeklamsia selama kehamilan menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya asfiksia neonatorum. Tujuan tinjauan literatur ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan preeklamsia pada ibu hamil dnegan kejadian asfiksia neonatorum. Penelusuran artikel menggunakan empat pangkalan data elektronik, yaitu Google Scholar, Pubmed, NCBI and Proquest. Artikel yang dicari pada mulai tahun 2010-2020. Kata kunci yang digunakan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris, yaitu: preeklamsia/preeclampsia, asfiksia/asphyxia, nilai Apgar/Apgar score, dan luaran bayi/newborn outcome. Diperoleh 52 artikel menggunakan kata kunci tersebut, namun hanya 16 artikel yang memenuhi syarat. Ibu yang mengalami preeklamsia cenderung melahirkan bayi asfiksia. Adanya vasokontriksi pembuluh darah dan hemokonsentrasi akibat penurunan volume plasma selama preeklamsia menyebabkan terganggunya perfusi pada fetoplasenta. Sebagai akibatnya, janin yang dikandung mengalami hipoksia dan gangguan pemenuhan nutrisi. Konsekuensi dari hipoksia pada janin adalah asfiksia. Sementara itu gangguan pemenuhan nutrisi janin akibat preeklamsia menyebabkan janin mengalami Intra Uterine Growht Restriction (IUGR), Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR), dan Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) yang juga dapat menyebabkan asfiksia.
