Abstract
Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease in the lung of the disease causing bronchial hyperactivity of the airway constriction where the most common main problem is increased capillary permeability resulting in mucosal edema, increased mucus production and bronchial smooth muscle contraction so that the exchange of O2 and CO2 is inhibited resulting in ventilation disturbances. This study aims to determine the description of nursing care in bronchial asthma patients in children with gas exchange disorder in Cilinaya Room, Mangusada Badung Hospital in 2018. The type of research used is descriptive research with case study design of two nursing documents observed in depth using documentation study with observing the patient's nursing documents. Data collection tool in the form of study guide documentation in the form of observation sheet filled by researcher. Research shows the similarities between two bronchial asthma patients who experienced ineffective airway clearance which where the diagnosis is not the same as the diagnosis studied by the researcher is a gas exchange disorder because it is not a priority diagnosis, documenting nursing care in the room has some differences with the theory as a reference by researchers. This study is expected to be used as appropriate and evaluation materials in nursing services in bronchial asthma children with gas exchange disorders.
