Abstract

Adolescents a period where the transition or transition of individuals physically. Adolescents a risk group for transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. Cases of HIV / AIDS in Bali as many as 21.597 people and in the city of Denpasar as many as 8.084 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about the prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome in SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar. Descriptive research type with cross-sectional approach. Implementation in March-April 2020 with purposive sampling technique. Samples totaled 86 people. Data collection by distributing questionnaires through Google form. Data analysis uses univariate in the form of frequency distribution. The results showed that of 86 respondents, 64% had good knowledge, 33,7% had sufficient knowledge, and 2,3% lacked knowledge. While the attitudes of adolescents about HIV / AIDS prevention who have a positive attitude are 62,8% and respondents who have a negative attitude are 37,2%. The conclusion of this study is the value of good knowledge with a positive attitude towards adolescents about HIV/AIDS. To maintain the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents, the school can work together with health workers to provide counseling about HIV / AIDS prevention. Keywords: HIV / AIDS; Knowledge; Attitude
