Abstract
Non-communicable diseases are the main causes of death experienced by people around the world due to unhealthy lifestyle habits and consumption patterns that are not appropriate to their needs and pay less attention to food diversity. According to the World Health Organization, deaths from non-communicable diseases are expected to continue to increase worldwide. Non-communicable diseases can occur in men and women. This study aims to discuss the diversity of food and non-communicable diseases in the family. Using a cross sectional study with a total sample of 100 samples. This study found that the level of food diversity included in both categories was (66,0)%. The types of food consumed by the sample were 100% including cereals, oils and fats, and sauces and drinks. Obtained (43,0%) samples claimed to have indicated non-communicable diseases and (66,0%) samples had good food diversity in that category, but indicated non-communicable diseases.
