Abstract

Patients with diabetes mellitus who are hospitalized require dietary therapy which is a pillar of management of diabetes mellitus. The effectiveness of the diet can be assessed based on the level of dietary acceptance. Lenght Of Stay or the length of time a patient is hospitalized, which starts from the time the patient is recorded at the time of admission to the hospital publishes the patient's discharge plan. The case review used is a case report, this is due to the existence of the Covid-19 pandemic that limits activities outside the home so the research is in the form of a case review from a case report at Wangaya Denpasar Hospital. The purpose of the case review was to determine the level of dietary acceptance and length of stay of Diabetes Mellitus patients at Wangaya Hospital Denpasar. Type of case review with case study design based on two case cases. Case review I llustrates the level of dietary acceptance and length of stay of Diabetes Mellitus patients. Case review analysis is descriptive. The average level of dietary acceptance of nutrient intake in this case review is energy, fat, carbohydrate in the less category and the level of patient acceptance of protein nutrient intake in either category. The average length of stay in the case of Diabetes Mellitus patients is the length of stay in the long category. So it can be concluded that the level of dietary acceptance is seen based on the patient's leftovers. If a large portion of the patient's food remains with a long period of time it will affect the nutritional deficiencies associated with the patient's nutritional intake and affect the patient's recovery process that will prolong the patient's stay.
