Abstract

RELATIONSHIP OF BREAKFAST ENERGY CONTRIBUTION WITH ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND NUTRITION STATUS OF ADULT IN SMP NEGERI 2 UBUD ABSTRACT Adolescence is nutrient vulnerable period due to various factors. In particular, teenage girl begin to aware of how to maintain their body appearance. The most common in nutritional problems are malnutrition and (overweight). One way to obtain good health and nutritional status is by consuming energy as needed and get used to breakfast. The aim of this research was to determine the relation between contribution of breakfast energy with energy consumption and nutritional status of teenage girls at SMP Negeri 2 Ubud. This research was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The research location is in SMP Negeri 2 Ubud. This research was conducted in January 2020. The population of this research was 470 students of 8th grade. The sample in this research was 85 samples. Nutritional status data is collected by measuring weight and height of the sample, while energy consumption rate data is collected by way of a 2 x 24 hour recall interview. Analysis of bivariat data was performed by Pearson correlation test. Based on the results of the research can be noted that as much as 52.9% have a contribution of energy breakfast are adequate, as much as 44.7% have good energy consumption rate and as much as 56.5% have good nutritional status. The results of the statistical test (p value) 0.467 showed there is no relation between the energy contribution of breakfast with energy consumption and (p value) 0.005 indicates there is a relation between energy consumption and nutritional status.
