Abstract
THE EFFECT OF USING TEMEPHOS ACTIVE MATERIAL TO THE NUMBER OF DEATH LARVA AEDES SP. Study Conducted in the Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan Kelas I Denpasar ABSTRACT Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is still a health problem in Bali Province. Vector control using insecticides is a mainstay of efforts to reduce the number of dengue incidents. The use of poorly controlled insecticides can result in resistance to Aedes Sp. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of active ingredients temephos with doses according to the recommendations of the national standard that is 0.1 g / l and WHO is 0.2 g / l. This study is an experimental study with a post-test design only with control group design with 3 treatment groups, namely the dosage group temephos 0.1 g / l, 0.2 g / l and 0.3 g / l. Each treatment group was exposed to Aedes Sp larvae. and counted larval deaths were seen after 24 hours of exposure. The results obtained after exposure to the active ingredients of temephos with 3 treatments were the number of deaths of Aedes Sp larvae. reach 100%. Based on Abbot's calculations, all temephos doses are still effective in killing and are still suitable for use as larvicides. This research shows that Aedes Sp. in the Work Area of the Denpasar Class I Port Health Office the Ngurah Rai Airport area is still vulnerable to temephos.
