Abstract

To create comfort, cleanliness and beauty in the market, an effective and efficient waste management system is needed to be able to achieve maximum results as expected. This research is to find out the relationship between knowledge and behavior of traders and participation in waste management in the market. This research is a secondary type of literature review which means analysis in the form of criticism (build / drop) and find similarities and differences from research that has been done on a particular topic or question on a particular part of science. The level of knowledge of traders who have been good is from 37% to 79% of the sample measured, this means there are still many traders who have less knowledge. In terms of the actions or behavior of traders in the market according to the results of research on the five journals obtained results of traders who have good actions or behavior there are 17% to 45.7% of the number of samples measured where the ones who are good are still as little as traders. For the participation of market traders according to the results of the research in the five journals is 32.6% to 38% of the total sample measured. Knowledge and behavior are closely related to participation, if knowledge and behavior are already good then the trader will be able to actively participate in managing waste.
