Abstract
Ineffective breathing pattern is a situation where the inspiration or expiration does not provide adequately ventilated due to respiratory muscle fatigue and anxiety due to airway obstruction. The purpose of this research is to know the description of nursing care administration training procedures pursed lips breathing (PLB) to overcome ineffective breathing pattern in COPD. This type of research is descriptive research with case study design of two patients were observed in depth using documentary study by observing the patient documents, then compares the results of observation by theory. Data collection tools such as study guides in the form ofdocumentation a check list of therequired by researchers. Assessment of patients have two documents in line with the researchers theory. Diagnosis of the two documents of patients there is a difference with the reference theory, seen on etiology. Two nursing interventions patient documents with reference to the theory there is no difference, seen on the writing of the NOC. Implementation of the two documents of patients there is a difference with reference to theory, seen on documentation actifity of PLB exercise. Evaluation of patients there is a difference of two documents with reference to theory, seen on the writing of SOAP. This shows the documentation of nursing care is influenced by the theory referred by nurses at Dahlia Ward BRSU Tabanan and researchers.
