Abstract

Abstract. A vegetarian diet in addition provide any health benefits, a vegetarian diet also has some disadvantages, namely the high risk of shortage of some types of protein, omega-3, vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium, zinc, copper, and iron that have an impact on health such as the anemia. The aim of research to determine the pattern of consumption and anemia status of vegetarian vegan. Research conducted at the Sai Study Group Denpasar, with a sample size of 32 people. The data collected is data consumption patterns (different types of consumption, the amount of nutrients) and anemia status. Data collected by the method of consumption patterns recall two times 24 hours later in the count different types of consumption and calculated the intake of protein, iron and zinc are then compared to the needs. Results showed the prevalence of anemia in a vegetarian vegan is 50%. A total of 59.4% vegetarian vegan has different types of categories of consumption with sufficient and good, 31.2% moderate and 9.4% less. Likewise, the level of protein intake by category and good enough (59.4%) and less category (40.6%). Most (72%) the level of consumption of iron include less and rest enough.
