Abstract

The Relation between House Sanitation and People Behaviour Regarding Diarrheain Kaba – Kaba Village ABSTRACK Diarrheal disease is an environmental-based disease, environmental health facilities such as clean water, fecal matter, wastewater disposal, landfills play an important role in the spread of diarrheal diseases.According to data of Public Health Centre Kediri II Year 2017, diarrhea disease is one of the disease in 10 major diseases in Puskesmas Kediri II which ranked 2nd (467 from 3593 cases with 13% percentage) diarrhea event in Kediri II Community Health Center in 4 villages: Kaba-Kaba 221 cases (47.3%), Nyambu village 167 cases (35.8%), Buit village 43 cases (9.2%), and Cepaka village 36 cases (7.7%). in Kaba-Kaba village, and based on these data the authors conducted a study to determine the relationship of Home Sanitation and diarrhea occurrence in the Village Kaba-Kaba Kediri District Tabanan Year 2018. In this study, the authors used descriptive analytical method. The research place was conducted in the Village Kaba- Kaba, Kediri sub district Tabanan Regency in February of 2018. The sample size using random sampling proportion of total population: 1521 head of family obtained a sample of 94 families that spread throughout the village in Kaba-Kaba Village. Interviews and observations were conducted using a household sanitation questionnaire consisting of ownership of clean water facilities, family toilet, waste water disposal facilities, garbage dump and diarrheal events. Suggestions to the community to try to equip their homes with eligible home sanitation facilities, to reduce the impact of unhealthy home sanitation facilities. Counseling by health workers in integrated service post, about the importance of home sanitation, utilizing and maintaining a good sanitation facilities and living a clean and healthy life so that all adverse impacts can be prevented and reduced.
