Abstract

PERBEDAAN KADAR TOTAL FENOL DALAM AIR REBUSAN AKAR ALANG-ALANG (Imperata cylindrica (L.) Beauv) BERDASARKAN LAMA WAKTU PEREBUSAN ABSTRAK Latar Belakang, akar alang-alang diketahui memiliki beberapa kandungan metabolit, salah satunya adalah polifenol. Akar alang-alang sering dimanfaatkan sebagai obat beberapa penyakit seperti obat kencing berdarah, kencing nanah, muntah darah, mimisan, hepatitis akut dan radang ginjal akut, juga hipertensi. Pada umumnya pengolahan akar alang-alang yang akan dijadikan obat dilakukan dengan cara perebusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar total fenol dalam air rebusan akar alang-alang yang direbus pada berbagai waktu perebusan. Metode, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan the one shot case study. Perlakuan berupa perebusan dengan lama waktu perebusan 5 menit, 15 menit dan 30 menit. Hasil,hasil penelitian diperoleh rerata kadar total fenol dalam air rebusan akar alang-alang yang direbus selama 5 menit sebesar 169,3 mg/L GAE, 15 menit sebesar 173,1 mg/L GAE, dan 30 menit sebesar 177,2 mg/L GAE. Analisis statistik dengan uji One Way Anova didapatkan hasil terdapat perbedaan kadar total fenol dalam air rebusan akar alang-alang pada berbagai lama waktu perebusan. Dalam uji Least Significant Difference (LSD) diperoleh hasil terdapat perbedaan kadar total fenol yang bermakna pada masing-masing lama waktu perebusan.Simpulan,simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan kadar total fenol dalam air rebusan akar alang-alang berdasarkan lama waktu perebusan. Beauv) ROOTS BASED ON BOILING TIME ABSTRACT Background, cogongrass roots are known have some metabolite content, which one is polyphenols. Cogongrass roots are often used as medicine for several diseases such as bloody urine, gonorrhea, vomiting blood, nosebleeds, acute hepatitis and acute renal inflammation, also hypertension. Usually, cogongrass roots were boiled before use as a medicine. This study aimed to determine the difference of total phenol content in boiled water of cogongrass roots that boiled at various boiling time. Method, this study was pre-experiment with the of one shot case study design. The cogongrass roots was boiling at 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 30 minutes. Result, this study showed that the average of total phenolic content that boiled in 5 minutes is 169,3 mg/L GAE, 15 minutes is 173,1 mg/L GAE, and 30 minutes is 177,2 mg/L GAE. The One Way Anova test showed that there was a difference of total phenol content in boiled water of cogongrass roots at various time of boiling. The Least Significant Difference (LSD) test, showed the significant difference of total phenol content in each boiling time. Conclusion, the conclusion of this study is there is a difference of total phenol content in boiled water of cogongrass roots based on boiling time.
