Abstract

Abstract. The death rate of babies in Indonesia, namely in 2007 is at 34 per 1,000 survival birth. The aim of research was identification corelation of early initiation of breastfeeding toward success of giving breastmilk to early neonatus. The collected data by interview and observation. The type of research was correlation analytic reseach conducted with cohort prospective approach. This research was conducted from November to December 2012 by mother fulfill inclusion criteria as research sampels. Statistic result showed was relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding during early neaonatus at Gianyar Sanjiwani Hospital and BPM. According the research, the health worker wished inrease maternity care service specialy in mother with normal delivery that indirectly include early initiation of breastfeeding.
