Abstract
Adolescent girls are included in the group of vulnerable nutrition, this occurs because they are very concerned about their appearance and body shape. It is not uncommon for adolescent to go on a strict diet to maintain their appearance. Factors that affect the menstrual cycle are physical activity, consumption level of macro nutrients, and nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity, level of macro nutrient consumption and nutritional status with the menstrual cycle. This type of research was observational with a cross sectional study design. A sample of 102 people. The results showed that 37 (36.3%) of SMA N 1 Rendang had oligomenorrhea. Almost a portion of the sample or 48 (47.1%) with severe physical activity. A total of 36 (35,2%) samples with a level of energy consumption with severe deficits, 29 (28,4%) samples with levels of consumption of excess protein, 32 (31,3%) samples with a level of consumption of fat deficit, 51 (50,0%) samples with high levels of carbohydrate deficit consumption. Most of the samples or 86 (84.3%) with normal nutritional status. From the results of statistical analysis it is known that there is a relationship between the level of energy consumption, fat and carbohydrate with the menstrual cycle (p 0.05) and there is no relationship between physical activity, protein consumption level and nutritional status with the menstrual cycle (p> 0.05). Keywords: menstrual cycle, physical activity, consumption level of macro nutrients, nutritional status.
