Abstract

IDENTIFICATION OF PATHOGENIC BACTERIA ON MINOR SURGERY TOOLS IN EMERGENCY INTALATION ROOM OF RSD MANGUSADA ABSTRACT Nosocomial infection is an infection that occurs during hospitalization. Incorrect nosocomial infections can be obtained from medical devices such as minor surgical equipment. Health workers need to pay attention to the sterility of medical devices used, a small portion for surgery to prevent nosocomial infections. The purpose of research to determine the types of bacteria in minor surgical instruments in the emergency room at Mangusada Hospital. This type of research is a descriptive study that discusses bacteria in a swab of minor surgical instruments. The large sample in this study is 34 samples with the sampling technique that is total sampling. Swab samples of minor surgical instruments on BAP and MCA media, incubated at 370C were then seen as growth of bacterial colonies. The results showed that Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria were identified in four samples from a total of 34 samples. The conclusion of this research is that bacteria were identified in swab samples of small sterile surgical instruments, namely Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. A total of 30 samples were declared to have met the requirements (sterile), while the other four samples did not meet the requirements. Keywords: nosocomial infections, identification of bacteria, minor surgical tools IDENTIFIKASI BAKTERI PATOGEN PADA ALAT BEDAH MINOR DI RUANG IGD RSD MANGUSADA ABSTRAK Infeksi nosokomial adalah infeksi yang terjadi selama mendapatkan perawatan di rumah sakit. Infeksi nosokomial salah satunya dapat diperoleh dari alat medis seperti peralatan bedah minor. Petugas kesehatan perlu memperhatikan sterilitas alat medis yang digunakan, terutama alat bedah minor untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi nosokomial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengetahui jenis bakteri pada swab alat bedah minor di ruang IGD RSD Mangusada. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yaitu dengan menggambarkan bakteri pada swab alat bedah minor. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 34 sampel dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Sampel swab alat bedah minor pada media BAP dan MCA, diinkubasi pada suhu 370C kemudian dilihat adanya pertumbuhan koloni bakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Staphylococcus aureus yang teridentifikasi pada empat sampel dari jumlah keseluruhan 34 sampel. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat bakteri yang teridentifikasi pada sampel swab alat bedah minor steril, yaitu bakteri jenis Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Staphylococcus aureus. Sebanyak 30 sampel dinyatakan telah memenuhi syarat (steril), sedangkan empat sampel lainnya belum memenuhi syarat. Kata kunci: infeksi nosokomial, identifikasi bakteri, alat bedah minor
