Abstract

Kata Kunci: Tempat Pembuangan Akhir, Sumur gali, kadar timbal   Background: final Waste Disposal Area at Banjar Suwung still uses an open dumping system in waste management techniques. This system affects the quality of groundwater around it. On the other hand, residents around the final waste disposal area are still utilizing dug well water as a source of water to meet their daily needs. Objective: this study aims to determine the plumbum level in the dug well water at the Waste Disposal Area at Banjar Suwung. Methods: this research uses descriptive method with observasional approach while the examination in this study uses spectrophotometric method with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Result:showed 11 samples showed that there were 7 samples (64%) not detection, 3 samples (27%) had plumbum levels below the maximum limit, and 1 sample (9%) had below the maximum plumbum levels according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of Indonesia No. 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990, which states that the maximum level of plumbum in clean water is 0,05 mg/dL. The highest plumbum level obtained was 0,1023 mg/dL and the lowest was 0,0060 mg/dL. Conclusions: the high level of plumbum is influenced by the distance of the dug wells from waste disposal area which does not meet the requirements, making it easier for pollution to occur.
