Abstract

ABSTRAK Anemia adalah masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang terjadi pada wanita usia produktif, termasuk tenaga kerja wanita. Kadar hemoglobin yang rendah dapat menurunkan produktivitas kerja sebanyak 20-30%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat konsumsi protein, zat besi dan kadar hemoglobin dengan produktivitas kerja tenaga wanita di PT. Akar Wangi Gianyar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan crossectional yang dilakukan di PT. Akar Wangi Gianyar pada Maret 2019, dengan total sampel 69 tenaga kerja wanita. Data tenaga kerja wanita seperti kadar hemoglobin dikumpulkan menggunakan Hb meter; tingkat konsumsi protein, zat besi dan produktivitas kerja diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan recall 24 jam dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analitik menggunakan uji chi-square. Sebanyak 40,6% tenaga kerja wanita memiliki tingkat konsumsi protein kurang, 84,1% memiliki tingkat konsumsi zat besi kurang, 71% memiliki kadar hemoglobin normal dan 68,1% termasuk produktif. Tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat konsumsi protein (p = 0,07), konsumsi zat besi (p = 0,10) dengan kadar hemoglobin. Faktor-faktor yang ditemukan berhubungan dengan produktivitas kerja adalah kadar hemoglobin (p < 0,00) dan konsumsi protein (p = 0,02). Sementara itu, tidak ada hubungan antara konsumsi zat besi dan produktivitas kerja (p = 0,07). Perusahaan disarankan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi zat besi tenaga kerja wanita mereka melalui penyelenggaraan makanan oleh dietisien atau ahli gizi atau memberikan suplemen zat besi. Selain itu, untuk penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan memeriksa kadar hemoglobin dengan perangkat yang lebih tervalidasi seperti Hemocroma plus atau Hemocue. A low hemoglobin level has been known to reduce work productivity by 20-30%. This research aimed to determine the relationship between protein, iron consumption and hemoglobin level with the work productivity of female workers at PT. Akar Wangi Gianyar. This was an observational study with crossectional approach. This study conducted in PT. Akar Wangi Gianyar in March 2019, with a total sample of 69 female workers. Data of female workers such as hemoglobin level were collected using Hb meter; protein, iron consumption and their work productivity gained via interview using food recall and structured questionnaire respectively. Data were analysed descriptively and analytically using chi-square test. A 40,6% of female workers have less protein consumtion, 84,1% with low iron consumption, 71% have normal hemoglobin level and 68,1% are productive. There was no relationship between protein consumption (p=0,07), iron consumtion (p=0,10) with hemoglobin level. Factors that found related to work productivity were hemoglobin level (p < 0.00) and protein consumption (p = 0.02). Meanwhile, there was no relationship between iron consumption and work productivity (p= 0.07). Company may increase iron consumption of their female workers through organizing foods by dietitians or nutritionists or adding iron supplement to their diet. In addition, further research should be conducted toexamine hemoglobin levels with more validated devices such as Hemocroma plus or Hemocue.
