Abstract

THE RELATION BETWEEN ASTHMA CONTROL STATUS WITH LIFE QUALITY IN CHILDREN WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA OF KLUNGKUNG HOSPITAL ON 2019 Ni Luh Putu Kemala Putri ABSTRACT Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the chronic respiratory tract which is often experienced not only in adults but also in children. Asthma cannot be completely removed from the patient, but can be controlled with appropriate management. This study aims to determine the relation between asthma control status with life quality in children with bronchial asthma of klungkung hospital on 2019. The design of this study is correlational, using aapproach cross sectional. The sampling technique in this study was non probability sampling, which is purposive sampling with a sample of 68 people. Asthma control status was measured by the Chilhood Asthma Control Test (C-ACT) and quality of life using the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL). The results showed that the average age of children was seven years and the most amount is male sex wich is 39 people (57.4%). The results showed that the majority of 44 people (44.65%) had poorly controlled asthma control status and 41 people (60.3%) had impaired quality of life. The results ofstatistical Pearson test obtained p = 0,000 <α (0,05) which means that the hypothesis was accepted by calculating the value of r (rho). It was obtained that 0,796 means that the asthma control status has a strong relationship with quality of life, which is asthma sufferers who have asthma uncontrolled will tend to have a disrupted quality of life. Based on this, it is expected that there will be an effort to improve asthma control so that the quality of life of patients becomes good or not disturbed. Asma tidak dapat dihilangkan dari penderita, namun dapat dikontrol dengan penatalaksanaan yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan status kontrol asma dengan kualitas hidup pada anak dengan asma bronkial di RSUD Klungkung Tahun 2019. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah korelasional, menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini adalah non probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 68 orang. Status kontrol asma diukur dengan Chilhood Asthma Control Test (C-ACT) dan kualitas hidup menggunakan Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL). Data penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata usia anak tujuh tahun dan berjenis kelamin laki-laki yaitu 39 orang (57,4%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar 44 orang (64,7%) memiliki status kontrol asma yang tidak terkontrol dan 41 orang (60,3%) memiliki kualitas hidup yang terganggu. Hasil uji statistik Pearson didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 < α (0,05) yang berarti hipotesis diterima dengan perhitungan nilai r (rho) didapatkan hasil = 0,796 diartikan bahwa status kontrol asma memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan kualitas hidup yaitu penderita asma yang memiliki asma tidak terkontrol akan cenderung memiliki kualitas hidup yang terganggu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diharapkan ada upaya dalam meningkatkan kontrol asma sehingga kualitas hidup penderita menjadi baik atau tidak terganggu. Kata kunci : status kontrol, kualitas hidup asma
