Abstract

THE EFFECT OF DELAYED BLOOD TEST TOWARDS ON PROTHROMBIN TIME RESULT ABSTRACT Prothrombin Time (PT) is a test used to detect blood clotting in extrinsic and common pathways. The test of PT by using citrate blood should be checked up in a maximum time of 2 hours after the blood collection. This study aims to determine the effect of delayed blood test on the result of PT. This is an experimental research with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The number of blood samples are 27 samples obtained from 9 students that were taken randomly from the population. The results of PT test found values within normal limits in the three treatment groups with values ranging from 11.3 seconds to 17.4 seconds, the lowest average in the immediate examined group was 12.30 seconds ± 0.686 and the highest mean in the 2 hours delay group that is 15.13 seconds ± 1.194. One Way ANOVA test result shows there is an effect of delayed blood test towards PT result in p<0.001. Significant differences occurred between the 2 hours delay group and the immediate group as well as the 1 hour delay group. Thus, it can be concluded there is an effect of delay of blood test to PT result especially if delayed in 2 hours. Keyword : Delayed Test, Citrate blood, Prothrombin Time PENGARUH PENUNDAAN PEMERIKSAAN DARAH TERHADAP HASIL PROTHROMBIN TIME ABSTRAK Prothrombin Time (PT) merupakan pemeriksaan yang digunakan untuk menguji pembekuan darah melalui jalur ekstrinsik dan jalur bersama. Pemeriksaan PT dengan darah sitrat harus diperiksa maksimal 2 jam setelah pengambilan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh penundaan pemeriksaan darah terhadap hasil PT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Posttest Only Control Grup Design. Jumlah sampel darah sebanyak 27 sampel didapat dari 9 mahasiswa yang diambil secara acak dari populasi. Hasil pemeriksaan PT ditemukan nilai dalam batas normal pada ketiga kelompok perlakuan dengan nilainya antara 11,3 detik sampai 17,4 detik, rata-rata terendah pada kelompok yang diperiksa segera yaitu 12,30 detik ± 0,686 dan rata-rata tertinggi pada kelompok penundaan 2 jam yaitu 15,13 detik ± 1,194. Hasil uji One Way ANOVA menunjukkan ada pengaruh penundaan pemeriksaan darah terhadap hasil PT dengan p<0,001. Perbedaan yang bermakna terjadi antara kelompok penundaan 2 jam dengan kelompok segera maupun kelompok penundaan 1 jam. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh penundaan pemeriksaan darah terhadap hasil PT khususnya bila dilakukan penundaan 2 jam.
