Abstract
The Effect of Quantum Teaching Method with Snakes and Ladders Game on Student Preparedness in Facing Earthquake Disasters in SDN 1 Batuan ABSTRACT Earthquake is a vibration within the earth surface and spread through earth layer. There are more than 4600 earthquakes which happens in Indonesia on 2017. The impacts that appear as the results of the earthquakes are victims, lost of wealth, and environment destruction. All we can do to minimize the impacts of earthquake is improving awareness among the citizens. This research aims to know the effects of quantum teaching method with snakes and ladders game on student preparedness in facing earthquake disaster. Type of this research is Pre-Experimetal Designs with One-Group Pretest-Posttest using simple random sampling technic. The respondents are 63 students from 66 students. The data is gathered using earthquake awareness questioner. Results of this research is 36 students have low preparedness before treatment, dan 31 students (49,2%) have high preparedness after treatment. The results are tested using Wilcoxon test with p-value = 0,000 (< alpha 0,05), it is concluded that there are effects of quantum teaching method with snakes and ladders game on student preparedness in facing earthquake disaster in SDN 1 Batuan. The suggestion is quantum teaching method can be given for classroom learning. Keywords : awareness, earthquake disaster, quantum teaching method.
