Abstract

Meningitis is an inflammation of the meninges, a membrane that protects the brain and cerebrospinal fluid. Meningitis can be caused by viruses, bacteria, parasitic infections and certain medications. The process of infection from the journey of meningitis causes several signs and symptoms that can cause some nursing problems, one of which is hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is a condition of body temperature above normal. The purpose of this study is to know the description of nursing care in child meningitis with hyperthermia at Sanglah Hospital in 2019. The type of research used is descriptive with a case study design against two subjects with the method of observing the patient's medical record. The results showed a difference of study with the theory, the diagnosis of the hyperthermia treatment formulated in the room. The implementation of nurses in the room was implemented but some were not carried out and did not comply with the intervention. Evaluation of nursing in the room using SOAP technique with the criteria of results adjusted to the intervention. Based on the results of the case study, it is hoped that this research can be used as basic data for subsequent research and by using different methods for optimal results. Meningitis merupakan peradangan pada meningen yaitu membran yang melindungi otak dan cairan serebrospinal. Meningitis dapat disebabkan oleh virus, bakteri, infeksi parasit dan obat-obatan tertentu. Proses infeksi dari proses perjalanan penyakit meningitis menimbulkan beberapa tanda dan gejala sehingga dapat menimbulkan beberapa masalah keperawatan, salah satunya yaitu hipertermia. Hipertermia merupakan suatu keadaan suhu tubuh diatas normal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan pada anak meningitis dengan hipertermia di rumah sakit Sanglah tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus terhadap dua subyek dengan metode mengobservasi dokumen rekam medis pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan pengkajian dengan teori, diagnosa keperawatan hipertermia yang dirumuskan di ruangan. Implementasi perawat diruangan dilaksanakan namun ada beberapa yang tidak terlaksana dan tidak sesuai dengan intervensi. Evaluasi keperawatan di ruangan menggunakan teknik SOAP dengan kriteria hasil yang disesuaikan dengan intervensi. Berdasarkan hasil studi kasus yang telah dilakukan, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai data dasar untuk penelitian selanjutnya dan dengan menggunakan metode yang berbeda agar didapatkan hasil yang optimal.
