Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MRS.M WITH BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL INSTABILITY: HYPERGLYCEMIA DUE TO DIABETES MELLITUS IN THE KUSAMBA ROOM, KLUNGKUNG REGIONAL HOSPITAL IN 2026 ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a condition characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). Clinical symptoms of diabetes mellitus are unstable blood glucose levels, with nursing problems of hyperglycemia. There is an increasing trend of people with Diabetes Mellitus in Klungkung from 793 people in 2022 to 4,538 in 2024. Case report of nursing care for Mrs. M with hyperglycemia due to diabetes mellitus in the Kusamba Room of Klungkung Regional Hospital. This scientific paper uses a descriptive method with a case report design carried out on February 12-17, 2026. The sample of this case report is Mrs. M with a medical diagnosis of Non-insulin-dependent Diabetes Mellitus. The results of the case report found that Mrs. M said she felt weak and had no energy, her mouth felt dry and GD2 208 mg/Dl with a nursing diagnosis of unstable blood glucose levels: hyperglycemia related to the disease process of diabetes mellitus. After 5 days of treatment with hyperglycemia management intervention, blood glucose stability improved and the hyperglycemia problem was partially resolved. The evaluation results showed that the objectives had been partially achieved. This was evidenced by the achievement of the predetermined outcomes. From the case report, it was concluded that nursing care could overcome the problem of hyperglycemia in Mrs. M and further care was needed to resolve the problem through collaboration in administering insulin, continuing to monitor blood glucose levels and adherence to the diet that had been implemented both in the hospital and at home. ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN NY.M DENGAN KETIDAKSTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH : HIPERGLIKEMIA AKIBAT DIABETES MELITUS DI RUANG KUSAMBA RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus merupakan kondisi yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah (hiperglikemia). Gejala klinis diabetes melitus adalah tidak stabilnya kadar glukosa darah, dengan masalah keperawatan hiperglikemia. Terjadi trend peningkatan penyandang Diabetes Melitus di Klungkung dari tahun 2022 sebanyak 793 orang meningkat menjadi 4.538 pada tahun 2024. Laporan kasus asuhan keperawatan pada Ny.M dengan hiperglikemia akibat diabetes melitus di Ruang Kusamba RSUD Klugkung. Karya tulis ilmiah ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan desain laporan kasus dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12 – 17 Februari 2026. Sampel laporan kasus ini adalah Ny.M dengan diagnosa medis Diabetes Melitus Non-dependen insulin. Hasil laporan kasus didapatkan Ny.M mengatakan merasa lemas dan tidak bertenaga, mulut terasa kering dan GD2 208 mg/Dl dengan diagnosis keperawatan ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah : hiperglikemia berhubungan dengan proses penyakit diabetes melitus. Setelah dirawat 5 hari dengan intervensi manajemen hiperglikemia, kestabilan kadar glukosa darah meningkat dan masalah hiperglikemia teratasi sebagian. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa tujuan telah tercapai sebagian. Dibuktikan dengan tercapainya luaran yang telah ditetapkan. Dari laporan kasus tersebut disimpulkan bahwa asuhan keperawatan dapat mengatasi masalah hiperglikemia pada Ny.M dan diperlukan perawatan lanjutan untuk menuntaskan masalah melalui kolaborasi pemberian insulin, tetap melakukan monitor kadar glukosa darah dan kepatuhan terhadap diet yang sudah diterapkan di baik dirumah sakit maupun dirumah. Kata Kunci : Diabetes Melitus, Hiperglikemia, Insulin.
