Abstract

ABSTRAK Masalah gizi utama pada remaja putri di antaranya adalah status gizi kurang dan anemia. Anemia defisiensi besi sering terjadi akibat kurangnya asupan zat gizi penting seperti protein hewani yang berperan dalam transportasi zat besi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola konsumsi protein hewani dan status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di SMK St. Petrus Kabupaten Manggarai Provinsi NTT. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2026. Populasi dan sampel penelitian melibatkan seluruh remaja putri kelas X SMK St. Petrus Ruteng sebanyak 51 orang yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Pola konsumsi diperoleh melalui wawancara Recall 1x24 jam, status gizi ditentukan berdasarkan indeks IMT/U (Z-score), dan kadar hemoglobin diukur menggunakan metode Hemocure. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Pearson Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 31,37% remaja putri mengalami anemia, sebanyak 29,41% memiliki status gizi kurang. Uji Pearson Chi-Square menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara konsumsi protein hewani dengan kejadian anemia (p = 0,135 > 0,005). Namun, ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan dan bermakna antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia (p = 0,000 < 0,005), di mana 15 dari 16 remaja putri yang anemia memiliki status gizi kurang. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pola konsumsi protein hewani dengan kejadian anemia, tetapi terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di SMK St. Petrus. Kata Kunci : Protein Hewani, Status Gizi, Anemia, Remaja Putri ABSTRACT Major nutritional problems among female adolescents include undernutrition and anemia. Iron deficiency anemia frequently occurs due to inadequate intake of essential nutrients such as animal protein, which plays a vital role in iron transportation. Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between animal protein consumption patterns and nutritional status with the incidence of anemia among female adolescents at SMK St. Petrus, Manggarai Regency, NTT Province. This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design conducted from February to March 2026. The population and sample consisted of all 51 tenth-grade female students at SMK St. Petrus Ruteng, selected using a total sampling technique. Consumption data were obtained through 1x24-hour dietary recall interviews, nutritional status was determined using the BMI-for-age index (Z-score), and hemoglobin levels were measured using the Hemocue method. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that 31.37% (16 students) suffered from anemia. About 29.41% (15 students) had thinness (undernutrition). The Pearson Chi-Square test revealed no significant correlation between animal protein consumption and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.135 > 0.005). However, a significant correlation was found between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.000 < 0.005), where 15 out of 16 anemic students had a thin nutritional status. Conclusion: There is no correlation between animal protein consumption patterns and the incidence of anemia, but there is a highly significant correlation between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia among female adolescents at SMK St. Petrus.
