Abstract

Nursing Care For Mrs. C With Ineffective Breastfeeding Due To Inadequate Breast Milk Supply In A Postpartum Mother In The Tunjung Ward Of Bali Mandara General Hospital In 2026 ABSTRACT Ineffective breastfeeding is a common condition in postpartum mothers that can lead to inadequate nutritional intake in infants due to inadequate breast milk supply. This case report aims to determine the nursing care for a patient with ineffective breastfeeding due to inadequate breast milk supply in postpartum mothers in the Tunjung Ward of Bali Mandara Regional Hospital. This case report uses a descriptive method with a case study approach through the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and physical examination. The results of the assessment showed that the mother experienced fatigue, anxiety, breast milk production was not optimal, the baby was unable to latch well, and the frequency of the baby's urination was less than eight times in 24 hours. The established nursing diagnosis was ineffective breastfeeding related to inadequate breast milk supply. Interventions provided included breastfeeding education and lactation counseling with the main implementation being oxytocin massage. The evaluation results showed an increase in infant attachment, increased frequency of breastfeeding and urination, and increased milk production. Thus, breastfeeding education with oxytocin massage is effective in increasing breastfeeding success in postpartum mothers. C DENGAN MENYUSUI TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT KETIDAKADEKUATAN SUPLAI ASI PADA IBU POSTPARTUM DI RUANG TUNJUNG RSUD BALI MANDARA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Menyusui tidak efektif merupakan kondisi yang sering terjadi pada ibu postpartum yang dapat berdampak pada ketidakcukupan asupan nutrisi bayi akibat suplai ASI yang tidak adekuat. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan masalah menyusui tidak efektif akibat ketidakadekuatan supai ASI pada ibu postpartum di Ruang Tunjung Rsud Bali Mandara. Laporan kasus ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan pemeriksaan fisik. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan ibu mengalami kelelahan, kecemasan, ASI tidak keluar secara optimal, bayi tidak mampu melekat dengan baik, serta frekuensi miksi bayi kurang dari delapan kali dalam 24 jam. Dignosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah menyusui tidak efektif berhubungan dengan ketidakadekuatan suplai ASI. Intervensi yang diberikan meliputi edukasi menyusui dan konseling laktasi dengan implemenasi utama berupa pijat oksitoksin. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan perlekatan bayi, peningkatan frekuensi menyusui dan miksi bayi, serta peningkatan pengeluaran ASI. Dengan demikian, edukasi menyusui dengan tindakan pijat oksitoksin efektif dalam menikatkan kebrhasilan menyusui pada ibu postpartum. Kata kunci: ASI, Postpartum, Menyusui tidak efektif
