Abstract

NURSING CARE OF MR.M WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEARANCE RELATED TO CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD) IN PIKAT ROOM KLUNGKUNG REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAR YEAR 2026 ABSTRACT Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic lung disease characterized by airflow limitation and increased secretion production, which can lead to ineffective airway clearance. This condition is generally characterized by an ineffective cough, excessive sputum production, and shortness of breath that may reduce the patient's quality of life. If left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as respiratory failure. The purpose of this scientific paper was to describe nursing care for a patient with ineffective airway clearance due to COPD in the Pikat Ward of Klungkung Regional General Hospital in 2026. The study used a descriptive method with a case study approach through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this case report was Mr. M, a 65-year-old male diagnosed with COPD and hospitalized in the Pikat Ward of Klungkung Regional General Hospital from February 13 to 16, 2026. The assessment results showed that the patient experienced shortness of breath, an ineffective cough with difficulty expectorating sputum, additional breath sounds (rhonchi), and changes in respiratory rate and pattern. Nursing interventions included effective coughing exercises, airway management, respiratory monitoring, and chest physiotherapy for 3×24 hours. The evaluation results showed improvement in the patient's condition, indicated by reduced shortness of breath, improved cough effectiveness, decreased sputum production, reduced additional breath sounds, and improved respiratory rate and pattern. ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA TN.M DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PENYAKIT PARU OBSTRUKTIF KRONIK (PPOK) DI RUANG PIKAT RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) merupakan penyakit paru kronis yang ditandai dengan hambatan aliran udara dan peningkatan produksi sekret yang dapat menyebabkan masalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Kondisi ini umumnya ditandai dengan batuk yang tidak efektif, produksi sputum berlebih, serta sesak napas yang berpotensi menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien. Apabila tidak ditangani, dapat menyebabkan komplikasi seperti gagal napas. Tujuan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada pasien dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat PPOK di Ruang Pikat RSUD Klungkung tahun 2026. Menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek dalam laporan kasus ini adalah Tn. M, laki-laki usia 65 tahun dengan diagnosis medis PPOK di Ruang Pikat RSUD Klungkung tanggal 13-16 Februari 2026. Hasil pengkajian menunjukkan pasien mengalami sesak napas, batuk tidak efektif dengan sputum sulit dikeluarkan, suara napas tambahan ronkhi, serta perubahan frekuensi dan pola napas. Intervensi keperawatan yang diberikan meliputi latihan batuk efektif, manajemen jalan napas, pemantauan respirasi, dan fisioterapi dada selama 3×24 jam. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan kondisi pasien mengalami perbaikan yaitu sesak napas menurun, batuk tidak efektif meningkat, produksi sputum menurun, suara napas tambahan menurun, serta perubahan frekuensi dan pola napas membaik. Kata Kunci: asuhan keperawatan, bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif, penyakit paru obstruktif kronik (PPOK).
