Abstract

FEAR OF DENTAL TREATMENT IN PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENT NUMBER 3 PADANG SAMBIAN KELOD 2019 ABSTRACT A fear of dental treatment that done by nurses or dentist, in general is the assumption personal. Ignorance patiens will care exercised by doctor or a nurse teeth is the main cause to the emergence of fear. The research descriptive done through interviews with an interview guide, with the number of respondents as many as 80 children. The results of research conducted in SDN 3 Padang Sambian Kelod 2019, obtained the frequency 16 (20%) children to feel fear of health workers with white uniform, 22 (27,5%) children to feel fear of a dentist or the dental hygienist, 33 (41,25%) children to feel fear that called checking teeth in the dental clinic, 40 (50%) children to feel fear were afraid that if the teeth shake in the dental clinic, 52 (65%) children to feel fear were afraid that if the teeth caries and have to be patched in the dental clinic. The research can be concluded the majority of respondents fear of dental treatment the most perceived by respondents were if his teeth caries and have to patched in the dental clinic.
