Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR AN.N WITH INEFFECTIVE AIRWAY CLEARANCE DUE TO PNEUMONIA IN THE CILINAYA NURSING ROOM RSD MANGUSADA 2026 ABSTRACT Pneumonia is an acute respiratory infection that remains a significant health problem in children and can lead to ineffective airway clearance due to increased secretions. This study aimed to describe nursing care for a child with ineffective airway clearance due to pneumonia in the Cilinaya Ward of Mangusada Regional Hospital in 2026. This study used a descriptive method with a case study approach on one pediatric patient (An. N). Data were collected through interviews, observation, physical examination, and medical record documentation, using the nursing process approach including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the patient experienced fever, productive cough, excessive sputum, and rhonchi, leading to the nursing diagnosis of ineffective airway clearance. Interventions provided included airway management and respiratory monitoring. After 4×24 hours of nursing care, the evaluation showed an improvement in airway clearance, indicated by increased effectiveness of coughing, decreased sputum production, improved ability to speak, and reduced restlessness. In conclusion, the nursing care provided was effective in overcoming ineffective airway clearance in children with pneumonia and was consistent with nursing theory and practice. Keywords: Nursing Care, Airway Clearance, Pneumonia ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA AN.N DENGAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT PNEUMONIA DI RUANG CILINAYA RSD MANGUSADA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Pneumonia merupakan infeksi saluran pernapasan akut yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan pada anak dan dapat menyebabkan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat peningkatan sekresi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan asuhan keperawatan pada anak dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif akibat pneumonia di Ruang Cilinaya RSD Mangusada tahun 2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada satu pasien anak (An. N) dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dan dokumentasi rekam medis, serta menggunakan pendekatan proses keperawatan meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan pasien mengalami demam, batuk berdahak, sputum berlebih, dan ronkhi, sehingga ditegakkan diagnosis bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa manajemen jalan napas dan pemantauan respirasi. Setelah dilakukan tindakan selama 4x24 jam, evaluasi menunjukkan bersihan jalan napas meningkat dengan kriteria hasil batuk efektif meningkat, produksi sputum menurun, sulit bicara menurun, gelisah menurun. Simpulan laporan kasus ini adalah asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan efektif dalam mengatasi bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif pada anak dengan pneumonia serta sesuai dengan teori dan praktik keperawatan.
